![]() The HIVEOPOLIS project aims to diversify and complexify urban ecological niches to make them more resilient to future game changers such as climate change. We propose two digital methods for modelling 3D scaffolds for micro-super organism co-occupation scenarios: “variable-offset” and “iterative-subtraction”, followed by two inoculation methods for the biofabrication of scaffolded fungal composites. By identifying mycelial fungi’s interactions with nest-related materials, using digital methods to design a hive structure, and engaging in additive manufacturing, we were able to develop a set of methods for designing and fabricating a fully grown hive. In order to provide an environment that makes honeybees more resilient to environmental changes, we aim for combining the thermal insulation functionality of mycelium materials with bioactive therapeutic properties within beehive constructions. Today, molecular biology teaches us that microbes play important roles in human health, and that isolation from them puts not only us but also other inhabitants of urban landscapes, at risk. This was announced in last month's update to Java on Visual Studio Code.Īll of the above and more is presented in greater detail in the announcement post. The perceptions and definitions of healthy indoor environments have changed significantly throughout architectural history. Java Pack Installer for macOS - This sets developers up to develop in Java with VS Code on macOS: A new Visual Studio Code for Java Pack Installer (note: clicking on link may initiate download) automates the acquisition of dependencies and extensions for Java development on macOS.Remote - Containers and WSL: More details are available in this WSL 2 blog post.Remote - Containers: Prompt to open repository in a volume.Remote - SSH: Remote server can listen on a socket instead of a port.Other Remote Development functionality includes: Remote Development tutorials - Learn to develop over SSH, inside Containers, and in WSL: Specifically, these are:.Notebook UI updates - Improved UX and undo/redo support: Still in preview, a GitHub Issue Notebooks extension helps developers search GitHub issues and pull requests.New He圎ditor extension - Edit files in hexadecimal format from within VS Code: This functionality, providing for native hexadecimal editing in the editor, sees continued improvement including the ability to undo, redo, edit existing hex cells, add new cells to the end of the document), and large file optimization such that developers can now open files larger than 18 MB.Extension authors can use this functionality to increase the visibility of these kinds of settings." ![]() Now, you can edit non-nested object settings from the Settings editor.
